Penicuik by night

After several years of membership, I finally made it out on a Carnethy HRC ‘Night Run’ down around Penicuik where we used to live. The route took us up some new trails on the more southerly side of the Penicuik House estate. I visited, with the family, a few years ago when the restoration work on the estate was beginning and several projects have now been completed. We then headed back via the Folly and back into Penicuik High Street for an Indian feast at The Clippers , who provided ample food and drinks to a group of 20+ hungry (and thirsty) runners.

I am a palaeobiologist in my early 40's carrying out research work. I am based in Scotland.
