Start: Steps at base of Calton Hill from Regent Road

Finish: Hutton Memorial Garden just off the Cowgate

Description: An easy walk that starts with spectacular views across to Arthur’s Seat and Salisbury Crags from Calton Hill, followed by a wend through a number of sites where rocks from across Scotland have been incorporated into monuments and buildings, including the Scottish Parliament and Our Dynamic Earth. The tour ends at the secluded Hutton Memorial Garden that lies close to the site of the home of the prominent Scottish geologist James Hutton.  For more information, have look at the edinburgh-rocks2017 handout.

Maximum party size: Eight people (No unaccompanied under-16s)
