Pentlands Tour 2: Rocks and Fossils around Baddinsgill

Start and Finish: The community wood car-park at Baddinsgill is the usual start, although it is possible to do the route from West Linton.

Description: A longer low-level walk over rough ground to explore the geological history of the Pentland Hills in the area around Baddinsgill Reservoir and the burns to the North. The units on the northern part of the walk contain a range of fossils. Please note it is NOT possible to remove fossils from sites in the area but we do provide the means to take good photos.

Duration: 4-5 hours
Maximum party size: Six. Sorry, no unaccompanied under-16s
